New for 2022 is the Supreme M5 Pro blocker from Bauer. Tailored for the performance-level goaltender, the blocker combines reliable tech with some elite features at a more affordable price point. Among the features of the blocker are a dual-density board and sidewall, a nash palm, and a Range of Motion (ROM) cuff.
External Material
Same as the leg pads, the M5 Pro blocker also uses C.O.R.Tech Plus skin over the exterior. C.O.R.Tech was already known for its great durability and strong reactions to rebounds, and it was further upgraded in Bauer’s previous highest-end Vapor gear to enhance those qualities in the Plus.
Internal Construction
The blocker board on the M5 Pro uses dual-density material to keep you reliably protected and better able to control the rebounds.
Palm Material
The palm uses Nash material for great comfort and solid durability. Nash is a common synthetic leather material used often in glove palms across both goalie and player gear for those reasons.
Side Hand Protection
Like the board, the sidewall is also equipped with dual-density material for great protection and performance on impact.
Cuff
Reminiscent of the highest-end Mach blocker, the M5 Pro also uses a ROM cuff wrist strap, which is built to keep the blocker secure on your hand while allowing for good freedom of movement in your wrist. It is adjustable for a lower lock on the wrist.
Hand Protection
The M5 Pro uses a classic finger protection format to reinforce security in your hands and fingers while you play. The finger protection is also adjustable, so you can get your ideal fit and ensure your hand is fully covered during the game.
